Practice Resources

This section contains supplemental CMLTA doctrines which outline the professional practice expectations of Medical Laboratory Technologists (MLTs), guide the judgments and actions of MLTs, and complement governing legislation and CMLTA policy. Although these documents are not explicitly contained in the Health Professions Act, legislation grants the CMLTA the authority to draft such documents and; therefore, they are legally binding in matters of unprofessional conduct.

To ensure timeliness, fairness, and to meet fiduciary responsibilities, the CMLTA uses electronic means (email) as the primary source for all communication. All Regulated Members are responsible for receiving, reviewing, and where necessary; responding to all communications from the CMLTA.
